Today’s Bible Study Ministry

Welcome to Today’s Bible Study Ministry

Welcome, brothers and sisters, to Today’s Bible Study Ministry. We thank God for another opportunity to gather in His Word. Today’s study brings us into a profound passage that reveals God’s sovereign purpose, His righteousness, and His grace. Let us approach this study with prayerful hearts and humble minds.

Scripture Reading (KJV)

Romans 9:11–14

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

Verse of the Day

Romans 9:14 (KJV):
“What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.”

Reflection

In this passage, the Apostle Paul reminds us that God’s purposes are not based on human effort, works, or merit, but on His sovereign will. Before Jacob and Esau were born—before they had done anything good or evil—God’s plan was already in motion.

Paul anticipates the question many would ask: Is God unfair? His response is clear and immediate—God forbid. God is never unjust. His ways are higher than ours, and His judgments are always righteous. While this truth may challenge our understanding, it calls us to trust God’s character rather than question His goodness.

This passage humbles us and reminds us that grace is not earned; it is given. Our response should be gratitude, reverence, and faith in a God who always does what is right.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word and for the truth it reveals. Help us to trust Your sovereign will, even when we do not fully understand it. Keep our hearts humble and teach us to rest in Your righteousness. May we grow deeper in faith and obedience as we walk with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
